The season I am sure all of us were waiting for the whole year is finally here.We are in vacation mode and we can’t get the Amalfi Coast out of our minds, where the water is the color of something you cannot quite name. And since we crave a European summer, we thought our style should keep up too.
This year’s Wimbledon gave us Naomi Osaka, who brought a boldness to the court and to fashion that we have not stopped talking about since.
We are also talking about sun, skin, and the art of looking like you did nothing when you did, in fact, do quite a lot. And charms. Because summer is the right time to add one.
Here is what we have been thinking about.

Ferko's Mediterranean Summer Destination: Amalfi
Whatever you have heard about the Amalfi Coast, the real thing is better. The actual place starts in Positano, with its color and chaos and staircase streets, and ends in Ravello, where the crowds thin out and the Villa Cimbrone gardens make you feel like you found something most people missed.Who
You Might Run Into: Jackie O. and Sophia Loren set the precedent. Jay-Z and Beyoncé, the Kardashians, Dua Lipa and the constellation of celebrity figures who treat the coast as their backyard keep it going.
Where to Swim: Fornillo Beach in Positano, when Spiaggia Grande feels like a concert venue. Castiglione Beach in Ravello, down 200 steps from the main road, with turquoise water and a cliffside backdrop that makes every step worth it.
Where to Eat: Da Adolfo, accessible only by boat, for grilled fish at tables on the sand. Il Flauto di Pan at Villa Cimbrone for dinner that feels like a film scene. Mimì in Ravello for wood-fired pizza and a leafy veranda when nothing needs to be an occasion.
When to Visit: Late June through early July, or early September for the coast with more space and slightly cooler water.
Amalfi is not the coast for one delicate chain and calling it a day. Bring the pieces that make you shine, the ones you have been saving for a special occasion. This is that moment.
Your Guide To The European Summer Aesthetic, Wherever You Are
You can live the European summer wherever you are, as long as you take it to heart.
Linen sets, Breton stripes, a raffia bag, and one piece with real personality work just as well on your own city's sidewalks as they do on the Riviera. This year the mood is ease with intention: fabrics that breathe, neutrals that mix, and jewelry that catches the afternoon light.
And if you are actually flying, the airport is part of the look now. Think a loose linen shirt over denim shorts, a matching set with flat sandals, or the all-white outfit, if you are brave enough to believe it will survive the journey.
Comfort still rules at 30,000 feet, it just looks so much better than it used to.

Wimbledon has a famously strict dress code. Players can only wear white, a single trim of color is allowed on the neckline, cuffs, or outside seam, and it must not be wider than one centimeter. The list goes on.
One might think these rules would hinder the players, but this year's Wimbledon was nothing short of a fashion show. And Naomi Osaka was by far our favorite.
Working with Tokyo designer Hana Yagi, Osaka turned her walk-ons into the defining visual story of the tournament. She made her Wimbledon 2026 debut in a floor-length, kimono-inspired coat featuring embroidered cherry blossoms and a wide obi sash. She then removed this layer before the match to reveal her tennis dress.
She followed every rule and still stole the show.
Summer Beauty: Two Rules, That's It
Summer beauty does not need to be complicated. After years of twelve-step routines and seasonal overhauls, the current mood is refreshingly direct. You need two things, and then there is nothing left to do but shine.
SPF, Every Day, No Exceptions
